By TIL THE SUN GOES DOWN, the Tilbury Dress & Tunic is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: The Tilbury has a relaxed easy fit with a feature high-waist & dainty mandarin style collar. It’s suitable for all seasons with multiple skirt lengths & sleeve options. A more fitted shape can be achieved by adding ties on the high-waist side seam & tying at the back. The bodice has princess seams & gathers off the yoke to give shaping over the bust. The skirt is gathered onto the bodice & has in-seam pockets. There are three length options – Midi, on-knee & tunic. There are three sleeve options – the full-length and ¾ are both gathered into a narrow cuff band. There’s a short sleeve too. All three sleeves have a small amount of gathering on the sleeve head.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 8-24. Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Most medium weight are suitable. Cotton poplin, chambray, linen, broidery Anglaise, viscose crepe, Tencel, viscose twill, plain viscose, needlecord or lightweight denim.
Trims required: Matching thread, interfacing for collar & button bands. Buttons x 12 for Midi, x 10 for knee length and x 8 for tunic.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
The paper pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with a step-by-step assembly instructions.
