I didn’t know you could still get theses type of pins for sewing - it has become hard to get many things now in Australia when we use to be a dumping ground for products - so I happy I could restock when I found theses.
Perfect fabric for a summery cool Sasha Shift. My daughter loves it!
Looking forward to trying this pattern out. Seems quite straightforward as I’m a beginner sewer. Thanks!
I love this pattern so much that I’ve sewed three apron dresses, all using meetMILk sera weighty cotton blend fabric, in different colours. The instructions are clear, and these apron dresses have become a wardrobe staple.
Beautiful ikat fabric in a variety of unusual greens. It's very light summer weight will be perfect for the Closet Core Nicks dress I plan to make. Great service from PSF as usual with quick despatch. Thanks!
Useful tool to have for those very fine spaghetti straps. It worked better for me with a firmer fabric
This is a lovely soft challis lawn, great quality. As always packed well
and arrived quickly.
I was excited to receive this order and the fabric did not disappoint. I made the Lyra dress with it and the fabric sewed up beautifully. It’s soft and light but still with enough drape. Prompt service. I’m really happy.
Great pattern, very easy to make and good instructions
Beautiful fabric - as usual, fabric arrived promptly. Fabric will be made into the Palmer Woven dress.
Thank you Amaya.
Love this pattern. I made the wide leg version and for a first pair I am extremely happy with them. Megan has made the instructions easy to follow and you can go to YouTube to source anything that you are having trouble with. Looking forward to making many more pairs of jeans☺️
This is a great fabric from M&M. The batting is 100% cotton, which is hard to come by as other similar products are usually polyester. I'm making a M&M Sidney jumper. I also bought the other colour-way to make collarless Peppermint Magazine Westend Jacket with binding all round. I thought I might have issues sewing up with my domestic Janome, but it was no problem at all. It is so warm and cosy and unique. Using this is so convenient and it makes up so quickly. It's great value since you have 2 layers of M&M Indian block print cotton ($45/m x 2) + 100% cotton batting + quilting.
Thought it was expensive at first but I have now used it for 4 garments. It is really adaptable and a great basic. The collar is great and the fact that no zips are required is a bonus. The sleeve in the pattern is good for using with other patterns as well. I have made the dress into a shorter tunic to wear over pants or a slim skirt.
Exceptional fabric. Will be making a top, suitable for
between seasons.
I am by no means an experienced seamstress, but was determined to make a 1930s style dress. I would class my self as a beginner, but one that keeps trying and happy to research sewing methods that most people know already! This dress looks fabulous, and has so many variations it is everything you need for a 1930s weekend. I made the flutter sleeve midi dress for day time and evening wear in different fabrics. The full length gown is perfect for dancing around the ballroom. The video of bodice making from the pattern makers really does need viewing before attempting, but the pattern is pretty straightforward. I had never lined a garment before and never put a placket in - I wasn't happy with the latter so removed it and as it is cut on the bias managed to pull the dress on without a side fastening. The bodice was mastered after watching the video. I had seen a video of hemming a dress using bias binding which I tried, and also tried hand rolling the sleeve hems which was an option in the pattern. My attempts look great and fit well, if you are reasonably experienced it will be fantastic. I am happy anyway, and have had compliments wearing the dress. Well worth the effort.
perfect pattern, very happy with my purchase.
This is a great fabric from M&M. The batting is also cotton, which is hard to come by as other similar products are usually polyester. I've made a collarless and lengthened Peppermint Magazine Westend Jacket. Make sure to go up one size to keep the original ease. Using this is so convenient and it makes up so quickly. It's really warm and also great value since you have 2 layers of M&M Indian block print cotton ($45/m x 2) + cotton batting + quilting.
I was after some fabric for a special dress and Amaya was super helpful in her recommendations and advice. I’ll definitely be back
Great colour and lovely feel to twill fabric. Love merchant and mills twills
I've tried a lot of pencils over the years that don't mark so well or don't fully wash out. I'd given up and have been using a blue pen, but it's essentially invisible on dark fabric. I decided to give these pencils a go, and honestly they've been a game changer! The chalk is soft and marks easily and washes away without a trace. The 3 colours are all I need for any fabric colour. Definitely recommend.
The Donguri seersucker is a beautiful texture and wonderful to sew. Lovely and crisp holding structure but still draping softly. Highly recommend .
Just need to check the ease. I should have purchased the larger size.
My 'Following' linen is lovely. It's more drapey than most linens of this weight and the colours have a real zing to them. My LB top out of this is versatile for wearing in autumn, winter and spring and perhaps for a cool summer evening. Thanks to Pattern Scissors Frock for making this linen, and so much beautiful Merchant and Mills fabric, available to your customers. I am completely satisfied!
