Garment Details: The Ritz Pleat Dress - is the perfect dress for almost any occasion, depending on the fabric you choose. The key feature is the flattering pleats that drape from shoulder to centre front and the bias skirt that falls easily over the waist and hips. The pattern has 3 sleeve versions - Long straight, elbow length with/without gathers and a short fluted one. The dress comes to just below the knee with the option of making it full length.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 8-22. Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Light to medium weight woven fabrics are suitable. Best results will be achieved using a fabric that has some "give" and "drape" eg. Silk crepe de chine, viscose crepe, polyester crepe or a lightweight wool crepe. Some plain weave viscose/Tencel may also be suitable.
Trims required: Matching thread, press-studs for side opening plaquet or 18-20cm zip.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
