Beck Blue - a deep blue/grey
This is a casual soft cotton canvas from India in a deep blue/grey with a chalky matte finish.
Merchant & Mills have called this a soft canvas as although it has a canvas appearance it isn’t ideal for garments that need lots of structure. If you choose to make something like the Ottoline or Foreman it will be a lightweight jacket, more of a ‘shacket’. Same with trousers, pick something like the 101’s that have a some gathers over the Eve’s which are more suited to structured cloth.
This cloth would also make a great All State or Arbor shirt, or something like the Cawley or Etta dress. You could also use it for bag linings or cushion covers.
The image of the jacket is a pattern hack M&M did for their Foreman jacket, click here to read about this.
