A mini gingham in lilac and olive green. Check size: 6mm x 6mm. Pattern repeat: 1.2cm.

A lightweight cotton alternative to Summer Thistle. 

This Indian cotton is soft and lightweight, so perfect for Summer sewing. Ideal for tops or dresses with some fullness or a lovely scarve. You can also use this cloth for patchwork or home projects like semi sheer curtains.

Some pattern suggestions are the Florence Dress or Top, a Cloud Dress, an All State shirt, a Cirrus top (Coming Soon) or a lovely Bellbird Button Up shirt, or a really nice Sagebrush Top.

Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.

For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.

Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble dry. Ironing will not loose the surface seersucker texture. Please allow for a shrinkage of 3-5%.
