By THE ASSEMBLY LINE, the Barrel Dress is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: The Barrel dress offers ample space and an intriguing silhouette. It comes with a midi skirt with a barrel-like shape and can be sewn with sculpted sleeves that complement the skirt's form, or it can be sleeveless. The sleeveless version is a perfect addition to your summer wardrobe!
The dress features a rounded neckline with a keyhole opening at the back, closed with a button and loop. You can choose to use bias binding along both the neckline and armholes or sleeve hem if you want to create a more relaxed version. And, of course, pockets in side seams!
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes XS-L and XL-3XL. Sizing information can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight fabrics such as cotton, light weight denim, Tencel, silk, lawn, linen, crepe de chine or wool crepe.

110-120 cm fabric width XS 3.5 m / S 3.6 m / M 3.6 m / L 3.7 m / XL-3XL N/A*
140-150 cm fabric width XS 3.0 m / S 3.1 m / M 3.1m / L 3.2 m / XL 3.9 m / 2XL 3.9 m / 3XL 3.9 m
Fabric needed for the barrel dress sleeveless:
110-120 cm fabric width XS 2.8 m / S 2.9 m / M 2.9 m / L 2.9 m / XL-3XL N/A*
140-150 cm fabric width XS 2.2 m / S 2.3 m / M2.3 m / L 2.4 m / XL 3.0 m / 2XL 3.0 m / 3XL 3.0 m
*If you are making XL-3XL and want to use fabric width 110-120 cm, you can cut the pattern pieces on unfolded fabric.
Trims required: Matching thread, fusible interfacing & one button. Optional
- Bias tape ready made - Long sleeve + neck = 3.5 m / Sleeveless + neck = 3.0 m (or make yourself from pieces of the dress fabric)
Skill level: Suitable for an intermediate-advanced skill level.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
