Garment Details: The Sepia Pants + Shorts have a clever design that blends style and comfort. Functional double pockets in the front are sewn to create a floating effect, with additional topstitched pockets in the back. A traditional elastic waistband is elevated with a fluted paperbag edge and optional drawstring.
- View A features barrel leg pants ending at the ankle, shaped with darts at the knee and hem.
- View B features wide leg, full-length pants.
- View C features shorts ending at mid-thigh.
Sizing: This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 0–20, sizes 14-32 (PDF) is available directly from Closet Core Patterns. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found by referring to the chart located in images.
Fabric Suggestions: To highlight the silhouette of the pants, choose a crisp woven with some degree of structure, such as: Light- to midweight linen, cotton ikat, chambray, and broadcloth. Lightweight denim, twill, and canvas (under 10 oz)
Trims required: Matching thread. Elastic for waistband, 1.5" (38 mm) wide (see Fabric Requirements for amount). Lightweight fusible interfacing, 1/4 yd (0.25 m) for 58" (1.5 m) wide interfacing. Optional: Drawstring, 1.5–2 yards (1.5–2m), can be replaced with drawstring sewn from self fabric. Optional: Topstitching thread. Marking Tool
