Garment Details: The LUCE trousers are distinctive, asymmetrical trousers with a wide skirt-like hem. They have practical pockets at the side seams and a press-button closure at the waist.
Designer: Kaisa Rissanen lives in an old wooden house, in Helsinki, Finland. She has a MPhil in theatre research but ended up founding a sustainable fashion brand and now a TAUKO magazine together with her best friend Mila. Kaisa enjoys having long walks in the forest with her rescue dog Wilma and exploring new places both close and further away. She is always ready for another cup of good coffee. Kaisa gets her inspiration from the aesthetics of everyday life: a beautiful shadow on a busy street, a simple drawing by her three-year-old son, or a funny-shaped cloud in the bright blue sky. She admires gender-neutral styles, straight cuts, and practical details with a twist. “The best clothes are comfortable and create an uplifting effect.”
Sizing: This pattern is available in sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9). Choose your size based on your waist circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of approximately 1.2–2"/3–5 cm. Suitable fabrics: Choose light to medium-weight fabrics. You may want to experiment with pleats or other structures. LUCE works well with lots of different fabrics: cotton blends, light wool suiting, and linen, to name a few.
