Garment Details: The GREET hat by Mila Moisio is a warm trapper hat with a hem piece that protects your ears. Doubled batting on the visor and hem add to the puffy feeling of the hat, which you can alter by varying the thickness of the batting. Experimenting with different quilt battings will allow you to create multiple looks with the same design!

Designer: Mila Moisio is the cofounder of TAUKO Magazine and lives in Berlin on the seventh floor of an apartment building on Karl-Marx-Allee. She loves early mornings, long breakfasts, reading, and biking in the different neighbourhoods of her current hometown. The diverse styles and ways of being in Berlin offer an endless source of inspiration for her designs.

Fit & Sizing: Sizes 58 (61, 64) (67, 70):Choose your size based on your head circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 1.2–1.9"/3–5 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your head. Finished garment measurements can be found by referring to the chart in images. 

Suitable fabrics: Top fabric and lining: Choose a woven, medium weight, non-stretch fabric, 4.1 oz/yd² / 140 g/m². Batting: Choose a 3 oz/yd² / 100 g/m² polyester batting. The sample is made from a 140 g/m² vintage polycotton fabric that used to be a bed linen.

Fabric requirements: For sizes 58 (61, 64) (67, 70)

Hat fabric: width 55 "/140 cm, length 19 (19, 20) (21, 22)" / 47 (49, 51) (53, 55) cm

Padding: width 59 "/150 cm, length 9 (10, 11) (13, 13)" / 23 (26, 29) (32, 34) cm 

Lining: width 55 "/140 cm, length 19 (19, 20) (21, 22)" / 47 (49, 51) (53, 55) cm

Trims required: Matching thread, 1 pair of snap fasteners.

Skill level: This pattern is recommended for intermediate sewers.
