Garment Details: Joy is the perfect easy-to-wear dress. A versatile addition to your summer wardrobe, comfortable and yet smart enough for any occasion. Style with flip flops for the beach, trainers for sight-seeing or heels for cocktails on the terrace.
Your choice of fabric will mean Joy can be casual and fun or choose a luxurious silky fabric in a fabulous print to make a chic statement dress.
Joy could even be layered over a skinny t-shirt or roll neck on cooler days. Joy is a slim A-line shape with a relaxed fit through the waist, (optional) in-seam pockets, frilled hem, and tie straps. Version B has a little more ease due to the gathering detail on the back bodice.

Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes UK 8-20. Sizing and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Light to medium weight woven fabrics, such as crepe de chine, bamboo silk, viscose, rayon, chambray, linen, double gauze, cotton lawn, poplin, Broderie Anglaise and lighter weight denim.
Trims required: Matching thread, fusible interfacing 50cm x 90cm or ready made fusible tape. If you are using ready-made fusible tape, you will just need a piece of interfacing 10cm wide x 20cm for the pocket opening.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
