By I AM PATTERNS, Rainbow Men is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details: I Am Rainbow, a sweatshirt where the only limit is your imagination. Choose from 20 variations with pockets and 10 versions without. Make me with or without a zip. I have two pockets to choose from: kangaroo or welt. At the neckline, choose either a classic or overlapping hood, or neckband, or a ribbing collar. I can be finished with or without ribbing.

Sizing: This is a multi-sized pattern European sizes XS-XXL. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here

Fabric Suggestions: Jersey for sweatshirt (sweatshirt knit), interlock knit, neoprene, French terry. Ribbing by the meter or the same fabric used for the garment (this pattern is not designed for using pre-cut ribbing bands). The ribbed collar can only be sewn in ribbing.

To help you choose your fabric: the two sweatshirts have been sewn in an organic sweatshirt knit by Mind the Maker.

Trims required: Matching thread, ballpoint needle. Zipped versions: one open-end zipper* 23 5/8 ” (60 cm) long. Hooded versions: 1 1/4 yards (120 cm) of drawstring cord & 2 eyelets (diameter depends on the drawstring width). Scrap of non-woven and non-stretch iron-on interfacing. Welt pockets versions: iron-on interfacing: 8″ by 16″ (20 cm x 40 cm). Kangaroo pockets versions: thin cardboard for the ironing template

*23 5/8″ is the conversion for 60 cm which is the length the original pattern is drafted for. You can take a 24″ long zipper but you will have to lengthen the front and back pieces by 3/8″. To understand how to do this, refer to the instructions in step 2 (Preparing the pattern).

Skill Level: Suitable for a beginner skill level.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern.

The paper pattern comes packaged in an envelope and includes highly detailed fully illustrated instructions.

The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern on paper.
