By IKATEE, the Lyon Overalls is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: Lyon is a unisex overalls pattern with three lengths to choose from: trousers, Bermuda shorts or shorts. Version 1 has adjustable straps with buckles/sliders+buttons and Version 2, adjustable straps with multi-position buttons. Optional side openings or zipped fly opening. Front, bib and back pockets. Optional hammer pocket for trouser version. Lined bib. Loose fitting so that the overalls can be put on without opening the sides.
A timeless piece for all seasons with different sewing skill levels.
Sizing: Kids 3-12years old. Sizing guide can be found here. Fabric requirements can be found by referring to the charts in the images or here.
Fabric Suggestions: Designed for medium to heavy weight woven fabrics, such as gabardine, canvas, twill, denim, heavy corduroy or baby corduroy, linen, woven waffle, jacquard. for the lining (at bib and waistband): poplin, chambray.
Trims required: Matching thread, optional webbing straps: 25 to 40 mm (1 -1⅝’’)wide cotton or polyester webbing depending on the desired look. Straps version 1: 2 buckles and slider adapted to the width of the strap + 2 jeans buttons - 15 to 17 mm diameter (⅝ -¾’’). Straps version 2: 4 snaps or jeans buttons - 15 to 17 mm (⅝ -¾’’). Side opening option: 4 additional buttons or snaps - 15 to 17 mm diameter (⅝ -¾’’). Optional closed end thin nylon zip from 6 to 9 cm (2⅜ to 3½'')(it is possible to shorten a zip sold by the meter). Zipper/zipper closure (real zip optional): the use of the zip is optional for boys and rather from 5-6 years old.
Skill Level: Suitable for an intermediate to advanced skill level.
