By I AM PATTERNS, Aura Swing Dress & Tank Top is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details: I am Aura, a simple and elegant high-low hem A-line dress. I can be made as a top and also as a dress with a gathered ruffle band, finishing above the knee. My rounded neckline allows you to slip me on easily without the need to sew a closure. I feature a bust dart and I am lined to the chest to beautifully finish the armholes and neckline. Although simple to sew, I deliver great impact, so I am perfect for beginners and experienced sewists.

Version A: High-low hem dress with ruffle. Version B: Swing dress. Version C: Tank top.

Sizing: This is a multi-sized pattern European sizes 36-46. Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here. 

Fabric Suggestions: Flowy woven fabrics with a nice drape: viscose (Tencel), crêpe, silk, voile, linen or for a more structured look choose a light denim or cotton poplin.

To help you choose your fabric, here is a list of the fabrics used for the samples shown in the images: The pink & the brown tank top was sewn in a Smooth Drape Tencel twill. The yellow dress with ruffle was sewn in a silk. The blue dress with ruffle was sewn in a  Smooth Drape Tencel twill. The dress with ruffle with hearts was sewn in an African wax fabric from Marie-Emilienne’s personal collection.

Trims required: Matching thread, Lining (can be the same fabric used for the garment)

Skill Level: Suitable for a beginner skill level.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern. 

The paper pattern comes packaged in an envelope and includes highly detailed fully illustrated instructions.

The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern on paper.
