Garment Details: The Day Tote is the perfect sized bag for all of your needs whether it’s for groceries, the beach, the gym or work. We were inspired by the ‘everyday tote - the workhorse of the bag department. We wanted to elevate this concept and create something more beautiful and functional than the standard tote.
The design features of the Day Tote include a roomy interior with side panels, a base panel, a total of four handy pockets including a laptop pocket for devices or books. Decorative piping not only adds a pop of colour but helps the bag retain its structure and the dual handles look stylish as well as making the bag comfortable and user friendly.
Dimensions: 40cm x 28cm x 18cm
Fabric Suggestions: The design options for The Day Tote are endless - you can choose different fabrics for different seasons and create a completely unique look each time.
Main Fabric: Choose a sturdy fabric for your main fabric. Suitable fabrics include cotton canvas or waxed cotton with a weight of around 9-13OZ / 300-450GSM.
Lining: Choose a relatively sturdy lining to help give the bag shape - cotton canvas is a good option with a weight of around 7-10OZ / 250-350GSM. Your lining will be very visible when using the bag so choose a colour that compliments the main fabric.
Piping: A mid/light weight cotton or linen is recommended for the piping to help reduce the bulky seam allowances. You can also think about introducing a pop of colour through your piping choice!

You can either print your pattern at home on an A4 printer or send the A0 digital copy to a printing shop (there are many that do this for a very reasonable price). If you decide to print in A4 you will need to piece the tiles together to make one huge page. There is a guide on how to do this included in the instructions.
