Garment Details: The Amalie Wrap Dress is a softly structured silhouette designed to feel refined and feminine.
The wrap-front ties to create a V shaped neckline with a relaxed adjustable fit around the torso. Darts help to shape the bodice which flows into a slightly dropped waist with gathered details and a soft A-line skirt. And the standout puff-sleeve is created with an inverted box pleat and adds a real sense of occasion to the piece.
This is a pattern that can be used to create both everyday and special occasion dresses that feel elevated yet comfortable. Construction features include side pockets, a lined bodice with understitching, and French seams.
The PDF Pattern comes with in depth written instructions, an A4 tile copy, US Letter tiles and an A0 version.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 4-28.
Fit notes: The Amalie Wrap Dress is shaped with front and back darts but is not designed to be too close-fitting through the body. We recommend choosing your size based on your bust measurement. The wrap closure and ties allow you to adjust the fit through the waist as needed.
The pattern comes with 2 different length options for the bodice pattern pieces to help the dropped waist feature to sit at the right height. The standard length is recommended if you're taller than 5ft 7 and the shorter length is recommended if you're 5ft 6 or below.

Skill level: Intermediate sewers
Construction techniques: A fully lined bodice, sync stitching, understitching, inserting a fitted sleeve, inverted pleat and gathers, French seams and side pockets.
You will receive both an A4, A0 & US Letter size digital pattern along with step by step sewing instructions. You can either print your pattern at home on an A4 printer or send the A0 digital copy to a printing shop (there are many that do this for a very reasonable price). If you decide to print in A4 you will need to piece the tiles together to make one huge page. There is a guide on how to do this included in the instructions.
