Garment Details: The Naomi Blazer is our contemporary take on the traditional blazer, combining age-old tailoring techniques with modern design features to create a piece that feels fresh and feminine.
The hourglass silhouette is accentuated with 6 darts and a curved side seam and the collar and lapel shape is bold without distracting from the rest of the garment. You'll find the slanted chest pocket both useful and flattering with the low position making it handy for storing sunglasses (without disrupting the bust shape) while also visually elongating the torso.
Modern Sewing Co. have kept the core elements of blazer making while letting go of some of the complex processes to make sure it's accessible and fun to sew. If you'd prefer some guidance with sewing this piece you can check out their online workshop.
Sizing: UK Sizes 4 - 28 (with PDF Layers) The Naomi Blazer is a fitted pattern that’s designed to follow the contours of the body to create a feminine hourglass silhouette. Choosing your ‘true’ size will allow you to wear light layers underneath so if you’re looking to wear winter layers you might like to size up. Full sizing details, including finished garment measurements can be found here.
Suitable fabrics: This piece works in a huge range of fabrics such as wools (tweeds, felt, suiting, coating) and cotton twills, linen, velvet, lightweight denim and even raw silk.
Fabric requirements: Modern Sewing Co. lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage.

You can either print your pattern at home on an A4 printer or send the A0 digital copy to a printing shop (there are many that do this for a very reasonable price). If you decide to print in A4 you will need to piece the tiles together to make one huge page. There is a guide on how to do this included in the instructions.
