CORIN TOP • Pattern
By Grainline Studio, Corin Top is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: The Corin is a drapey drop shoulder top with a wide round neckline. The pattern includes two sleeve options – a ruffled cap sleeve and a straight 3/4 length sleeve. An optional gathered elastic detail at the front and back waist adds interest and shaping. While we have have sewn up three views of the pattern, the sleeves and elastic can be combined in any configuration to create 6 different options.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes US 0-18 or 14-32. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements guide can be found here.
Priya is wearing a size 8 Corin and Dani is wearing a size 24 Corin.
Fabric Suggestions: Light to medium-weight woven fabrics with plenty of drape such as double gauze, charmeuse, crepe de chine, rayon, and rayon blends. Linen is not recommended for the ruffle sleeve version of this top. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, or one-way design prints.
Trims required: Matching thread, 1 yd of ½" (1.27 cm) wide non-roll elastic, safety pin
Skill Level: Beginner. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, setting sleeves, applying bias facing, sewing an elastic casing, and basic hemming.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
You will receive an instruction booklet and tissue pattern tucked inside a paper envelope. The pattern is printed in the USA on recycled paper with soy-based inks.
